Another pearl from pearls before swine

I started reading this comic strip over a year ago. it is quite funny - if not a bit odd sometimes. it mocks politics and society w/humor...and has some interesting crocodiles. Today's Pearls was quite good.

vote for larry - really, you should

Ok, I just listened to the best book on tape. It was amazing. Vote for Larry. It's about this 18 year-old who runs for President on the Peace Party ticket. It has fabulous stats and lots of humor...made me laugh, cry, you name it. I really fell in love w/this kid. And now I want to run for President and am accepting running-mate applications. :) I'm serious - we can change the world. I know we can.

So I went to this fundraiser and Colin Powell spoke. He's a pretty funny guy - he told this story about getting strip searched by Nat'l Airport b/c he made the terrorist watch list mistake and bought a one-way ticket in cash. So, even Colin Powell is not immune to our crazy politics - he said the thing he missed most about being sec of state is the private plane. go figure.
